What’s the Schedule?

DavidU Summer 2024 classes are given every Monday from 10am to 2:30pm with a 30 min lunch break.

June 3 - Aug. 5th, 2024

There are 40 hours of class time and 10 hours of practical on-stage experience in this mentorship / course. There are also invitations for you to sit in on staff meetings and leader development meetings for Rock of Grace to enrich your learning experience.

Note *If you decide to also do SEU or OSOM throughout the week, you can use our DavidU Campus (ROG Cortland Campus) to put your headphones on and do your work, away from the distractions of home-life. *NOTE Sunday Nights are not an option as our Youth Group meets that evening. We are not able to assist you in your OSOM Classes. If you have a general question about something you learned in OSOM that you’d like to ask during the Q&A time of DavidU, feel free to ask or email us info@DavidU.org but most of those questions regarding OSOM courses should be directed to OSOM staff.

The DavidU Worship Nights taking place at Cortland Campus: 1 Hour of worship led by DavidU Students (6:30-7:30) You must participate in all three these in some way.

  • FULL SCHEDULE WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU

WORSHIP NIGHTS @ ROCK OF GRACE KINSMAN

There will be three opportunities for you to be apart of worship services. You’ll be required to be on stage on at least one of them and in the sound booth using what you learned about mixing during another. Those dates are in your syllabus.

After completion…

After completion of the 10 classes, satisfactory participation as decided by DavidU staff, participation in worship nights, you are given a Certificate of Completion that you can place on your resume to help potential Senior Pastors see your diligence in getting training in this area.

I’m not a musician or worship leader? Should I still consider it?

While this training is specifically for worship leader, a church planter or pastor could definitely benefit! Here’s why.

THEOLOGY OF WORSHIP: Ultimately as ministry leaders, we are bringing people into God’s family and into a life of worship - worship to Jesus. So understanding what worship looked like in the Bible is paramount for any ministry leader.

SOUND TRAINING: Church planters and ministry leaders rely on volunteers. Volunteers have full-time jobs and can sometimes be unavailable. This is why it’s priceless to take a few classes on the basics of sound. Just a few hours of training will empower you to have great sound every single time you get on the mic.

MENTORING: The classes given by our Teachers are giving you a solid foundation on the Word of God, what God wants from mankind, how He aims to redeem the world. The Biblical Literacy you’ll gain from seasoned Pastors is priceless in becoming a minister. Our curriculum of How To Worship A King, The Process of a Leader, Tale of Three Kings, Following The River & more will be an incredible addition to any other training you’re taking or have taken. Our Theology and Theory teachers have an accumulated total of 100 years in pastoral ministry. Our teachers in the Practice section have a total of 50 years in ministry leadership.

What will be taught? What is the curriculum?

We use 3 books written by our founder, Jordan Biel. The Process of a Leader, Leverage Leadership & The 7 Theory. We also use How To Worship A King by Zach Neese, The Worship Pastor by Zac Hicks, Tale of Three Kings by Gene Edwards and Following The River by Bob Sorge.

How does DavidU work with OSOM?

Ohio School of Ministry is a separate ministry training program presented by Ohio Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God. All questions regarding enrollment for OSOM should be sent to Adriane Weidner Adriane@OhioMinistry.net

We simply encourage our students who want to get ministry credentials and further pastoral training to do so through Ohio School of Ministry or SEU Ohio, both of which can be done through Ohio Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God.

Can I take DavidU & not OSOM?

Yes! We know that many of our students will not take OSOM but we want to ensure you know that it’s an option.

Understand though that you won’t be certified or licensed with the Assemblies of God upon DavidU completion. You’ll have a certificate of completion from DavidU only. We believe it will still be a powerful, life-changing experience where you’ll grow in your faith and skills needed for worship leadership.

There is no cost for those who want to join DavidU at this time. There is however an enrollment process to ensure everyone involved has at least begun their musical journey. Contact Us to Apply for Enrollment in the Summer 2023 Classes

What is OMN?

The Ohio Ministry Network (OMN) is Assemblies of God in the state of Ohio. Think of them as the Disctrict of Ohio for the AG. We have been so blessed by Pastor John Wooton and his leadership. At DavidU, we are equipping servant leaders with Biblical Literacy, Holy Spirit Intimacy & Excellent in Creativity.
